Robert Vernet Bonfort, b.1934

Robert Vernet-Bonfort was born in Marseille, France, June 4, 1934.  He studied at  the School of the Fine Arts of Marseille from 1948 to 1957.

Recompenses (Awards):

At the end of his studies at Beaus-Arts Marseille,  he obtains the Prix Claverie.  In 1959, to the Young Painters of  Mediterranean, Mr. Bonfort obtains the Prix of l' U.M.A.M., one of the principal prizes of the demonstration.  In 1961, to this same demonstration, Robert obtains the Prix of the Palace of the Mediterranean and, in 1963, the Prix Dorothy Gould.  At last, in 1965, he obtains the Big Prize from the Foundation of Elizabeth T. Greenshields of Montréal.  He is the third Frenchman, after Bardone and Sebire, to receive this reward.
