Charles Dow Hunt, (1840-1914) Born in Detroit, C.D. Hunt settled in Brooklyn, New York, and exhibited paintings of the Adriondacks at the Brooklyn Art Academy from the middle 1860s through the late 1890s. He studied with Alexander H. Wyant (1836-1892) and John Frederick Kensett (1816-1872).
